What is an adventure elopement exactly?
Well let’s be honest, eloping is an adventure to begin with. What elopement isn’t an adventure! But out here in the mountains, in one of the Canadian Rockies most prized destinations, adventure is known to take on a whole new meaning.
Many folks choose to elope because they want their day to be simple. Just photos of their intimate ceremony and a few shots of the two of them on their wedding day in a pretty place is enough - nothing else. Some people keep things simple, and we love that too (if that is you, check out our simple elopement coverage here). Other people want to hike into a frozen canyon to profess their vows, or to climb a mountain in hiking boots and a wedding dress! But adventure doesn’t necessarily mean intense and wild.

Who we are
Hey, I’m Brian. I was born and raised in Jasper, and Ash (on the left) has been raising her son here for 12 years. We are professional photographers of people’s stories. Stories of love in beautiful places.
With our family deeply rooted in Jasper, we love this place for it’s beauty and it’s wildness. We also completely understand the desire to run away and elope with only your closest chosen ones.
That’s exactly what we did in 2021.
In the beginning
I still remember photographing my first adventure elopement in Jasper, over a decade ago. A sweet and quiet couple flew over from Switzerland with their two best friends. They rented canoes at Pyramid Lake and paddled over to a tucked away little corner of Pyramid Island and had a beautiful picnic. The bride handmade her dress, and made her flowers and all the little details using felt, and they had homemade ribbons hung around the picnic table. A perfect spring day.
That same year I photographed an intimate wedding on top of Whistler’s mountain on a bright sunny day. After a breathtaking cruise up the mountain in the Jasper Skytram, the couple said their vows to their church’s minister overlooking the expanse of the valley below, surrounded by a tiny gathering of people who loved them more than anything.
That’s part of what makes being adventure elopement photographers so special. We get to meet amazing outdoor people and share in some of their all-time favourite adventures.
And now, after 20+ years of combined wedding experience and a lifetime of local knowledge to offer our photography clients, the adventures just keep getting better and better.
But long before that we were photographing weddings and elopements together.
